Law and Order: SVU

by admin on December 7, 2011

Thanks for the post from Irving Ayala

This is a good show and one of the longer running shows of its kind still on television. I will usually catch it on my Direct TV guide as part of a marathon of SVU shows. I will inevitably get sucked in to watching at least three episodes if not more. These are one hour shows too. This is quite a commitment to sit down and watch an SVU marathon. I usually do not enjoy the subject matter on this show because most of the time it is really sad or disturbing but I think that the writing and direction of the show really make it more watchable. The show is about the Special Victims Unit in a police precinct in New York City. They handle crimes against children and other crimes as well. The detectives on the show are the main characters and they are partners. They usually investigate the crimes themselves and sometimes they find the perpetrator and there is a happy ending but then again sometimes they don’t. The ones where they don’t are the ones that get to me. I like the show but I can only watch so many of them before I start to get a little dismayed by the things that go on in the world.
